History

THE HOLDING CELL began life as a stage play written by KT Curran in response to the growing crisis of prescription drug abuse among young people in Florida and throughout the United States. After researching the play for over a year and interviewing parents, teen addicts, and addiction professionals, as well as visiting jails, hospitals, the county morgue, and juvenile detention and treatment programs, THE HOLDING CELL was created.  The play has been performed four thousands of students over a five year period at schools and conferences to overwhelmingly positive response.  In 2014 Brandi’s Wish Foundation partnered with SOURCE Productions and Screenwriter/Director, KT Curran to produce a film of THE HOLDING CELL in order that young people across the world could see the story.
